Happy New Year!

Hello everyone!  We made it through Christmas and New Year's without any hiccups and we are back in TN now.  Christmas and New Year's were great!  We got to spend it with family and friends and everyone got along!  We missed those that we didn't get to see, but saw others that we haven't seen in a while.

We made it back from TN around Dec. 12th to catch the boat parade up in Weeki Watchee. That was a lot of fun. We had some great food (chili was awesome!) and the parade turned out to be full of boats. Unlinke the Swansboro, NC parade, with just 6 boats. :)

Our friends, Tim, Cheryl and Steve's boat.

We made it up the river to Hospital Hole to see a few manatees.

On January 1st, we drove up to NC with Joe and Jan, to go visit the cabin for a little bit and see if there were any damaged pipes from the freezing weather they have had.  Surprisingly, there was not much damage. One sewer pipe busted, but no big deal, the toilet water flushed down the creek. Go thing it was flowing pretty fast! We visited Fontana Dam on a sunny day, and just relaxed for a few days.

We drove back to Nashville on the 4th. Just in time for a few snow showers, but Dale had the fire going so it was nice and warm inside. The motorhome had been sitting in freezing weather for some time and one of the water pipes below the kitchen sink had busted. We dried the water and fixed the pipe.  Today I found two more leaks. One below the kitchen sink and one below the ice maker.  The heaters are drying the floors out now. :)  It's good to have these "opportunities" to learn about the motorhome.  Yeah right!

Last night Laurie and I drove down to Murfreesboro to see Jason, Erika and Colton.  I went to Martial Arts with Jason, so he could use me as the sparring dummy. I did great...as the dummy!  They are meeting us at the boat show tomorrow.  It's indoors because the high for tomorrow is 28.  Yeah!  Good to back in the North Pole!  We'll pretend it's sunny and warm while we are walking around, looking at the boats.

We don't have any plans for my birthday on Sunday yet, but I'm sure we'll figure out something fun to do. I wanted to update this blog and catch everyone up to where we are today.  I'll keep you posted of our adventures!  We hope you are all doing well.  See ya later!

It's going to be a high of 28 tomorrow and Jason, Erika and Colton are going to meet us
